The fat-free dairy challenge
Here’s the deal.
Sandi and I think that fat free dairy it not only non-damaging, but is also in and of itself beneficial to weight loss, all other things being equal.
But we need more data!
This page is for me to start tracking my own personal fat-free dairy study. I’m going to start a table, documenting daily weight change against my non-fat dairy for the day before. I’m not going to win any Nobel prizes for my findings here, but I’m curious enough to try. I’m going to start from the beginning of the year. I’m not yet doing this study in a very quantitative way – only boolean (ie I have either had or have not had fat free dairy on any given day, not how MUCH fat free dairy) so there’s little point in graphing anything just yet. I need to ask my statistician parents about the most scientific way of graphically displaying our findings.
If anyone else out there decides that they want to contribute their own “findings” – do let us know!

Hi Charlotte, we haven’t kept track of our daily weight loss tied to our fat free dairy intake, but we do believe it’s partly why we’ve been able to maintain our weight during Consolidation and Stabilization…and during the weeks we’ve had more than 2 Celebrations Meals. We usually have nonfat yogurt (flavored) every morning for breakfast and when cooking we try to use fat free cheese.
It’ll be interesting to see what your total findings are!
